| Abstract: |
In project A5 the dynamical processes in the interaction of intense,
ultrashort optical laser pulses with clusters and nanoparticles are
studied. As new experimental tools, electrom-imaging as well as energy and
momentum resolved ion spectroscopy are used to characterize the charged
products of the violent excitation in detail. In addition, a new short
wavelength spectrometer is build to cover the extended ultraviolet
region. With this equipment a detailed comparision of the differnet decay
channels becomes possible for example xray versus high harmonic
radiation. Laser pulse tailoring will allow to optimize and control a specific
emission. The results of the studies are compared to simulations which are
subject of the projects A4, A6, and, A8.
