Project description
Very few techniques can provide truly exact quantum dynamics. One remarkable option is based on Feynman formulation of quantum mechanics and system-bath partitioning that allows one to treat the bath analytically via the famous Feynman-Vernon influence functional. The goal here is to develop a methodology that can provide exact quantum benchmarks for realistic many-body systems. This is well-established in the framework of electronic transfer phenomena, whereas we here are aiming at transferring the methodology to (non-)linear vibrational spectroscopy.
